In 2027, AS “Rīgas piena kombināts” will celebrate its centenary. Today, its long-standing traditions, nurtured over decades, go hand in hand with modern production technologies, a continuous drive for product innovation, and a careful understanding of evolving consumer preferences and needs. As the country’s largest dairy industry company, both in terms of milk processing volumes and number of employees, AS “Rīgas piena kombināts” has established a strong position in the Baltic market through the quality of its products and the strength of its brands.
Today "Rīgas piena kombināts" cooperates closely with the subsidiary company "Valmieras piens", where part of the production of products takes place.
Full supply chain management
We manage the entire supply chain – from more than 100 suppliers of raw milk in Latvia and other raw materials and packaging suppliers to market research, product development and innovation, production, packaging, brand development and deliveries to consumers through an efficient warehouse, logistics and transport system.
New product development
Innovation is at the heart of what we do. Every year, we strive to develop up to 20 new products that are delicious, high-quality and designed to bring real value to consumers' everyday lives.
Our Research & Development team works closely with our Marketing and Sales colleagues to ensure every new product combines outstanding taste and quality with a deep understanding of consumer preferences and market needs.
Export potential
Approximately a quarter of our production is exported to more than 35 countries around the world. Fresh cream cheese, curd snack bars and heat treated sour cream are the main export products, the quality of which is appreciated by consumers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the USA, Australia, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain, Israel, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Greece, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Egypt, Finland, Switzerland, South Korea and Sweden.
