Rīgas piena kombināts invests EUR 60,000 in the development of three new Valmiera Greek yogurts

Latvia’s leading dairy processing group, Rīgas piena kombināts, which also includes Valmieras piens, has invested EUR 60,000 in the development and market launch of three new Greek yogurts under the Valmiera brand. The range is being expanded with Greek yogurt with chia seeds, strawberry-rhubarb Greek yogurt and peach Greek yogurt. All three new products are lactose-free, high in protein – containing 27 grams per pack – and have 0% fat.

The expansion of the range continues the development of the Valmiera brand, which began in spring 2025 with the introduction of a renewed visual identity and three lactose-free plain yogurts – Greek, classic and creamy. The new products complement the existing range with ready-made flavour combinations, offering consumers a wider choice for breakfast and snacks between meals.

Three new flavours – value in every spoonful

 

All three new Valmiera Greek yogurts are lactose-free and therefore also suitable for people with lactose intolerance.

 

·       Valmiera Greek yogurt with chia seeds combines a mild, creamy taste with a unique yogurt texture. Chia seeds are a highly valued ingredient in a healthy diet, as they contain fibre and plant-based omega-3 fatty acids.

 

·       Valmiera strawberry-rhubarb Greek yogurt offers a familiar berry and fruit combination, balancing the freshness of strawberries with the tartness of rhubarb.

 

·       Valmiera peach Greek yogurt expands the range with a classic flavour, offering a long-time yogurt favourite with added benefits – more protein and no lactose.
